Highway 17 is located in Delta, British Columbia and carries over 40,000 vehicles per day. It connects the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal, moving traffic between Vancouver Island and Metro Vancouver.
An emergency repair was performed to a cross culvert that had partially collapsed. The repair to the culvert was completed in August 2010. Due to the work being carried out on a Sunday, access to traditional hot mix asphalt was limited. EZ Street cold asphalt was the obvious choice to complete the surfacing work and was picked up from the depot stockpile.
This was the first highway patch with EZ Street asphalt in the Vancouver area.
